Assistant Department Head, Finance and Accounting

Job Summary:
Performs regular review and reconciliation of account balances for preparation of company Financial Statements. Oversees Accounting staff performance and ensuring the timely and accurate recording of all transactions in the accounting system.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy.
- At least five (5) years of related work experience.
- Knowledge in Accounting for Real Estate
- Knowledge in any Accounting ERP/software
- Computer literate: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Problem-solving skills and initiative; ability to delegate and manage work of others; negotiation skills and ability to influence others; strong attention to details and critical thinking skills; excellent communication and presentation skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Prepares Trial Balance Worksheet. Reviews and reconciles account balances.
2. Oversees GAU and APU during reconciliation of their respective assigned accounts
3. Prepare accounts receivable and revenue worksheet as per revenue recognition policy of the company. Prepare and record necessary adjustments.
4. Check and verify commission payable worksheet. Prepare and record necessary adjustments.
5. Verify and approved request of new PCF, Monitor permanent and temporary petty cash fund.
6. Verify liquidation of temporary PCF and recordings in the system, Perform year-end closing of all permanent petty cash fund.
7. Record cancellation and refund of Clients in the accounting system.
8. Department's person in-charge (PIC) for Quality Management System.
9. Prepare and maintain the fixed assets register of the company.
10. Prepare monthly VAT declaration report and ensure timely submission and filing of VAT with BIR
11. Monitor and ensure timely payment of beneficiary dues of TRV, ALT and ASN.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the FIAC Department.
